In his second outing in the elite division, Ciryl Gane once again made an impression with a heel lock on American Don'Tale Mayes late in the third round after dominating the entire bout.
From the very first exchanges, Ciryl Gane was able to enforce his striking superiority, controlling the centre of the octagon, hitting Don'Tale Mayes several times with bodykicks. Constantly moving like a featherweight, Ciryl was seconds away from ending the debate at the end of the first round, after a perfectly placed flying knee to the American's chin. The siren, however, saved the American for a while.
The second round was relatively similar to the first, with Gane in the role of the aggressor, against Mayes who had recovered his breath slightly. Ciryl, who was imperial at the beginning of the third round, was once again close to finding the breakthrough at the end of the round. However, following yet another acceleration in striking, Gane surprisingly decided to take his opponent to the ground.
While Dan Hardy and the rest of the American commentators were already predicting a unanimous decision victory for Ciryl, the latter managed to land a heel lock. An extremely rare move at heavyweight, which forced his opponent to quit instantly. A fifth victory in as many fights for the MMA Factory resident, who never ceases to impress us.
5 fights : 5 finishes. Ciryl " Bon Gamin " Gane continues his perfect record!
